Especially with firewalls, we have not used US products for a long time. Instead, we collaborate with manufacturers that do not have NSA backdoors or similar unpleasant surprises. We are therefore very pleased that with Stormshield we have been contacted by a real “heavyweight”.
In France, the company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus Defence & Space, is already successful. Stormshield is relatively unknown in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, although it has been operating on the market for more than 13 years and describes itself as the “European market leader for digital infrastructures”.

Stormshield offers innovative end-to-end security solutions for protecting networks (network security), workstations (endpoint security) and data (data security). As a European manufacturer, the company enjoys a special position among many American developers. The solutions are NATO and EU certified and meet all Common Criteria standards.
Technologically, the endpoint security approach of the company, which is headquartered in France, should be emphasized, since the approach is different from that of conventional signature-based products: Instead of having to read out the data from virus scanners, it carries out detailed behaviour analyses in the network that offer much deeper insights. This means that companies can also achieve a deeper zero day protection.
